Students for a Free Tibet (SFT) zijn sinds 1994 actief als een studentenbeweging die zich inzet voor het verkrijgen van vrijheid voor het Tibetaanse volk. De Dalai Lama zei over deze beweging: “The achievements of Students for a Free Tibet show that nonviolent action does work.”
Deze wereldwijde beweging zet zich middels educatie, Grass root campagnes en niet gewelddadige acties in voor het fundamentele recht van het Tibetaanse volk op politieke vrijheid.
Dit netwerk van studenten heeft een eigen website https://www.studentsforafreetibet.org/ waarop ze al hun acties plaatsen, achtergrond informatie geven en dossiers over de toestand in Tibet plaatsen.
In the renaissance series worden schrijvers, dichters en kunstenaars gepubliceerd die door de Chinese overheid is verboden. Een andere website waar Tibetaanse poëzie is te lezen is http://www.tibetwrites.org
